Looking for information on Elisha Rickerson who was living in Cherry Valley in 1814. He is mentioned in a newspaper article dated 10 February 1814 in reference to a writ of "Fi.Fa." as follows:
By virtue of a writ of Fi. Fa. issued out of the court of common please in and for the county of Otsego, to me directed and delivered, against the goods chattels, lands and tenements of Elisha Rickerson and James Schuremen, I have levied on a lot of land being in the town of Cherry Valley, bounded as follows, viz--southerly by the road leading from Cherry Valley to the Mohawk River, easterly by the road leading from what is called the brick house by James I Campbells, northerly and westerly by lands belonging to the heirs of John Walton, containing about three fourths of an acre of land, be the same more or less, together with the buildings standing thereupon. all the right and title of James Schureman in and to the said described premises, I shall expose to sale at public vendure on the 28th day of March next at the house of Isaac Rhines in Cherry Valley, at one o'clock in the afternoon of that day.
