He lived with who I think is his son and his wife Diana,35 and children, Rebecca,16,Sabrina, 12, Hellen,6,Harvey Edwin, 1, all these people b. N.Y. I can't make out the name of Jacob's son who is on the 1850 N.Y. through the 1860- 1900 Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., Iowa,census.
Rebecca m. 1865 in Cedar Rapids to George Sykes a Civil War Vet. they had Frank,July 12,1866 Benjamin P.,1870, Edward E. Sykes,1875 and maybe a daughter after Edward. I find Benjamin and Edward living in Cedar Rapids through 1930 and thats because there is know more census.
Rebecca died between 1876 and the time 1878 George m.Mrs. Mary Jane (Hamilton) Evans. she had 6 children by Henry. these 2 familys are in the 1880 census Postville, Allamakee Co., Iowa George and his son Frank his ne wife there new daughter and son George P.Sykes /Sikes also all od Marys children by James "Henry" Evans also a Civil war Vet. they lived in Estherville, Emmett Co.,Iowa where many are buried in St patricks Cem and Oak Hill.there obts are on cem page.
