Yes, this is the same couple from Rudd, IA, they moved around alot. They ended up in California where my family comes from. As far as Lydia, sorry I don't know anything about her, she's not in my family tree. Seeing as she is listed as married, I would think she must have been there to help the family out, maybe one of the kids were sick. They all lived into adulthood, so they didn't die from a serious illness, maybe they caught something and needed a nurses help. I have found numberous times were a person is on a census in one house and then somewhere else that same year in a different house, they are listed on the census twice. Maybe she is listed elsewhere in the county or town that same year.
