Was wondering how to find the court depositions that were filed when a Revolutionary War veteran filed for his pension. Looking for Moses Swartwout born 29 MAR 1761, Goshen, Orange CO,NY and served as a PVT in the Orange CO NY Militia. Moved to Hartwick, Otsego CO, NY about 1812. In the 1820 Census he was listed as living at Hartwick, Otsego CO, NY. In the 1830 Census he was listed as living at Laurens, Otsego CO, NY. Know that he filed for his pension 16 OCT 1832 at Otsego CO, NY. Pension # S11499 Another family researcher has found Moses cousin Anthony Swartwout's court depositions at Wayen, Steuben CO, NY as he filed 16 OCT 1832 also. Anthony's Swartwout's depositions noted names of children, as some of his children, his wife, his brother Ralph Swartwout and his cousin Aaron Swartwout (brother of Moses)gave depositions for his application and they were recorded at the court.
