I don't know if I can offer anything that will be helpful, but I am descended from an Edward Payne(6) whom I know almost nothing about except his children's names, who lived in or very near Otsego County (possibly in Chenango County) in the early 1800's. One of his sons was William F. Payne(5), born 1819 in Sherburne, Chenango County; He married Mary Ackerman. They had a son Urban Delos Payne(4) who had a son Frank Eugene Payne(3) who had a son Roger St. John Payne(2) who was my father. My father was born in Edmeston, Otsego County in 1912. I have some names for the early generations, but no Lucy. I know there were quite a few Payne's living in the area at the time, so there may have been no relationship.
Edward's children were William F., Ira, Anson, Lafayette, Delos, Stephen, Mary, Chloe, Cena, Orrila, and Henry. Other than for William F., I have little or no information of descendents.
I would be more than happy to share this information with you if you are interested or think anything could be helpful, and of course, I would appreciate anything you might have that might help me in extending my information.
