This is an obit that was in the Feb. 24, 1926 issue of the Worcester Times Newspaper. (thanks Linda) I am searching for information on this family. Jefferson C Magee was my ggg-grandfather. Jefferson was married to Alta Bates. I have a little bit of information on this family I would love to share. I also want to find out who Alta Bates parents and family were. Also have obit for Samuel J Magee, son of Jefferson Magee.

Jefferson C Magee
Jefferson C Magee one of the well known elderly residents of this Village, passed away at his home in Brighton at three o'clock Monday afternoon of heart disease. Although he had been a sufferer from organic heart disease for the past five years, he was able, nevertheless, to be about until a few days before the end came.
Deceased was born in the town of Decatur on March 16,1846, where he lived for a number of years. Later he resided at Westford and about 35 years ago moved to Worcester and took up the grocery business which he conducted until about fifteen years when the business was closed out and he moved to Brighton where he has since lived. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Libbie Burhans who resided in the South, Mrs Lester Borst of Albany, and Mrs Jerry Rickard of Schenectady, and one son Samuel Magee of this Village.
The funeral will be held from his late home at 2 pm Thursday afternoon and the body interred in Maple Grove Cemetery. Rev. C.L.Herrick conducted the last services.
