Watson of Cherry Valley 1790-1840

I am looking for information on my gg-grandfather, Menzo WATSON, born 25 Dec 1832 at Cherry Valley, Otsega County, New York.

His parents were William Henry Watson born 28 Jan 1795 and Margaret (unkown last name) born 28 Sep 1797.

His siblings were as follows:
Martin A. Watson b. 19 Dec 1816
William H Watson b. 24 Oct 1820
Chauncey Watson b. 8 May 1823 (Danube)
Sylvester Watson b. 11 Nov 1827 (Danube)
Francis Watson 13 Dec 1829 (Stark)
George L. Watson b. 1 Aug 1834
Ann Eliza Maria Watson 18 May 1839 (Cobbleskill)
Margaret Elizabeth Watson b. 5 May 1842 (Cobbleskill)
NOTE: The daughters may be nieces instead of sisters - these names are in list form with no generational break down. My ggg-aunt, to whom this list belonged, was listed as if she were a child of William Henry Watson instead of being his g-daughter and the daughter of his son, Menzo, and Menzo's wife, Catharine Hilts.

Menzo Watson married Catharine Hilts who was born about 1837 in Schoharie County, New York. Papers mention the town of Gillupville and state that is was near Albany.

Menzo, Catharine, their older daughter (Katharine "Kittie" Eugennie or Eugenia Watson), and Menzo's brother, George, moved to Alabama in 1858, along with Mr. E. M. Perine, also of New York State. Mr. Perine was a very successfull merchant/grocer and he employed the 2 Watson brothers. Menzo later became a successful grocer himself. I don't know what happened to George, but he served the Cahaba Rifels in the War Between the States and may have been killed.

Any information on the Watson Family of Cherry Valley would be greatly appreciated.

PS. It was written that in 1878, during an outbreak of Yellow Fever "...Mr. (Menzo) Watson, my boss, was visiting his old home, Schenectady, NY..." I am unfamiliar with that state of New York and do not know if Cherry Valley, Otsego County and Schenectady (County or is there a city, as well) are near one another?
