Just saw your post on John Hoyt and Eunice Preston. I too am trying to place Eunice Preston. I have done quite a bit of work on David Preston and his wife Elizabeth Martin who I believe might be parents of Eunice. However, have not found a birth record for Eunice. Another possibility is David's brother Jacob. Jacob married Sarah Foster. There is Unice Preston bp 7-26-1741 as a dau of Jacob and Sarah.

David Preston (B: 1703/7, Andover, Essex, MA, D: ca 1755, Oblong, Dutchess, NY - now known as Dover.) Married 8-2-1726, Hampton, Windham, CT to Elizabeth Martin (B: 1-17-1707, Windham, CT). Their children: Martin: 1740, Elizabeth 1734, Anna 1739, Ebenezer 1727.

Martin married Rebecca Judd 1-1-1761 in Kent, CT by Timothy Hatch, JP. Elizabeth married Daniel Brownson 2-16-1756 by same JP. Eunice married John Hoyt 3-14-1760 by same JP. So you can see where I might think Eunice would be a dau of David. These records from Hampton Congregational Church, Hampton, Windham, CT records on Ancestry.

On 5-13-1768, in Dover area a petition was presented to the Court asking for another constable for the area as this area was known for thieves and counterfeitors. A Martin and Ebenezer Preston and John Hoyt were among those petitioners. This from Beekman Patent book, Vol. 1, Pg. 328

The bottom line is that I cannot find a birth for Eunice as a dau of David. The dau Eunice child of Jacob seems too early to be a wife for John Hoyt.

Perhaps you may have found something since your posting or have any thoughts to what I have found.
