Backus, Orleans County, mid-1800s

I'm looking for information on the Backus's who lived in Orleans County NY (specifically in Albion, Carlton, and Gaines) in the early-mid 1800s. Am hoping to find a connection to my great-great-grandparents, John C. and Emeline Backus, who lived in Albion in 1850. They had a son Myron, and a baby boy, Augustus, who probably died in infancy. Any information will be appreciated.
