When was the first plat map done for Ontario County?
I am interest in the Geneva, New York area, ONLY before 1855. The family surname was O'Malley which has many spelling variation: O'Maley, Maley or Malley.

The family may have come to Ontario County as early as 1846. They were not in the 1850 federal census for Ontario County.

First names of interest are: William [born County Mayo, around 1800, no dates or death locations known] or Mary [born in Ireland around 1800, no date or death locations known] or Thomas [1831, County Mayo-1906, Illinois].

William O'Malley was a doctor in County Mayo, Ireland at the time of the Potato Famine in Ireland. But that is all the information I have on William and Mary Walsh O'Malley.

William O'Malley and Mary Walsh O'Malley were Thomas' parents. The family left the area before 1855 and may not have lived in the Geneva area for very long. I do not have any proof they owned any land.

Three daughters names are known: Mary, Ellen, Anna. The daughters married after the family left Geneva, New York. I have the daughters' family histories and a little information on Thomas' family.

There could have been as many as 10 children
in William and Mary Walsh O'Malley's family.
