Families with these four surnames all lived in Ontario County in the early 1800s, and were all connected by marriage: Jacob Dixson (Dixon) married Susan Kishler, Levi Wilson married Mary Kishler, David Faurot married Eleanor Kishler; I belived these three Kishler women were daughters of Frederick and Eleanor Kishler (Kishlar). There was also a James Kishler of Monroe Co., who was probably their son. James, Susan, and Mary all had daughters named Eleanor. The son of Jacob & Susan had a double cousin, through both blood and marriage, Nancy (Hoxter) Wilson, daughter of Samuel Hoxter and daugter-in-law of Levi & Mary Wilson. A William Dixson of Ontario Co., left his estate to Samuel Hoxter, William Hoxter, and the heirs of Thomas Hoxter, as well as a Nancy Parmer. These families lived near one another, and there were land transactions between some of them. Does any of this ring a bell?
