Cemetery Transcription Question
Posted by: Steve Ferriss (ID *****1713) Date: August 10, 2002 at 13:54:36

Iím new to Onondaga County genealogical research and am trying to become familiar with the resources available.

I am trying to find transcriptions from stones (and burials) for at Old Fabius Cemetery, Fabius, Onondaga, New York. This cemetery is located behind The Baptist Church in the village of Fabius, on Route 80.

I believe this cemetery is transcribed in The Lesley E. Voorhees records / copied and compiled by Lesley E. Voorhees. Ed. by Alice Laughlin Arneson Syracuse, N.Y. : History's People, 1965 F127.O6 V6 1965

Can anyone confirm this? (I e-mailed a look-up volunteer but the e-mail bounced.)

Does anyone have any other suggestions regarding transcriptions?

How does one investigate probate records relating to deaths that occurred in Onondaga County in 1839 and 1859?

Thanks for any assistance / direction.

Steve Ferriss in Storrs, Connecticut
