There is another Benoni Reynolds, that probably is related to the Benoni Reynolds you are all discussing. I will post his data here, in case it might help someone. This is a collateral line for me, but the name Benoni seems unusual so this may connect for some of you.

Benoni Reynolds, born about 1799 KY, married 14 Dec 1825 in Washington Co., IN to Priscilla Turpin, born about 1806 KY. Estimates for birth year and location from the 1850 Fed. Census of Brown Co., IN. Children, all born in Indiana: Nancy (b. 1827), Phebe (b. 1830), Mary J. (b. 1833), Daniel (b. 1838), Margaret (b. 1841), Edward T. (b. 1844), and Emeline (b. 1847).

I have no further info on this Benoni Reynolds. I do have some ancestry for his wife. Priscilla Turpin was the daughter of Thomas Turpin, Jr. (b. 1865-68 and died before 1820) and Phebe Garrot (b. 1770 VA). They were married 7 Sep 1798 in Garrard Co., KY and had 4 children: Mary, Thomas, Priscilla, and Averilla.

Thomas Turpin Jr. was the son of Thomas Turpin (b. between 1720-40 Henry Co., VA and died 27 Nov 1796 Mercer Co., KY) and Averilla Lewis (d. 26 Nov 1806 Garrard Co., KY).

Hope this helps someone.
