actually, the year of the newspaper is 1895, 10th of december-meaning the child was born is very hard to read the date, but is indexed 1895 (newspaperarchives) and if you go back a page, you can read it more clearly. it is possible that this child is on the nys death index. contact the library at salina st, syracuse.
by the 1900 census, they live on hudson st, near rich. the son, john e, was born 1891 and the daughter, anne, born august, 1895-so she was 4 mos old when the unknown child died. to make things more confusing-there appear to be 2 george hortons, both wed to annas, and of similar age, and george m middle initial not always "m". if your george the son of clarence and fidelia and brother to eugene, his mother was buried from the south ave congregational church-they may have birth / bapt of the baby.
