Hi Walter.

Thank you so very much for contacting me! I would very much like to correspond with you about our Bailey family. James Thomas or Thomas James (depends on the document you read) married a woman named Nettie. In the 1880 census they are listed with one son named Francis Marion who was born in 1877. (I've not been able to find them in any other census). Francis joined the army when he was 15 or so and was a mule skinner during the Spanish American War. He was transferred to Vancouver Barracks in Washington state and there met and married Ada Peyton.

Any additional information you can give me on James Thomas Bailey would certainly be appreciated and I'd be happy to share the information that I have found on this family. My husband had his DNA tested and it verified that he was from this line of Bailey's.

I appreciate finding out where Henry and his wife Eliza were buried and am saddened about their graves. You say they had 2 sets of twins. Who were the second set of twins? From the census records I've been able to find I didn't see a second set. Could you tell me more about them?

You also mention a Nancy Newton who married a John Bailey. Could you please tell me more about this? I have no information on this marriage at all. Are you referring to John Bailey born about 1807??

Again, Thank you for contacting me and I look forward to hearing from you at

Happy Holidays
