I am seeking information on my GGrandfather. He was born somewhere in NY in 1817 (Approx). His name was John T (Tilford) Haynes. I am not sure of the Tilford. The earliest records I have of him is in 1850 in Indiana at which time he was 25. I have found varying information that he was born in about 1817-1825 in New York. I have only a recollection of the family talking about Onondaga, NY. I do not know of any siblings or his parents names. I seem to remember talk of Canada or Nova Scotia. Could you give me more information on Robert and John of Cardiff. I am assuming that the Cardiff is in Wales. I know I am grasping at straws but I have hit a very high brick wall. My John T lived in Indiana most of his adult life with the exception of 1880 to 1900 when he lived in Stockton, Rooks County, Kansas. This is where my Grandfather lived and was married to my Grandmother in 1893. I appreciate any information you are willing to give.
