Missing POTTER family. Maybe Harriet is related to my great-great-grandfather, Joseph H. Potter. He said he was born in Onondaga County, NY, but I cannot find his family, either. He was born about 1808.

According to census records, his father was born in NY and his mother in Massachusetts.

Joseph joined the army in 1828 and was assigned to Fort Gibson in Arkansas Territory. He homesteaded in Pulaski County, Arkansas when he was released from the army in 1833.
