Hi Tom,

Thanks so much for the information you sent. I really appreciate it so much. Is there any way you could email me the clip from the newspaper I would appreciate it so much. George Henry Smith was also in the civil war he served in CO B, 153 Regiment. He lived with his son Joseph N. Smith up into the 1910 census in Amsterdam,NY then left sometime to live with his other son. He was also a member of the GAR. I have a newspaper clipping from the Amsterdam Recorder dated May 12, 1915 and it states he died Tues at his son Edward house at South Bay near Syracuse age 75 survive by 3 sons William, Edward, Joseph Smith. Joseph N. Smith is my greatgrandfather. I didn't know where the other 2 sons lived. I'm from NC and don't know the area of NY good so don't know where south bay near syracuse is. I also found George H. Smith pension and shows he died 11 May 1915 and also had on there Clay,NY. Where is Clay is there near Syracuse? Thanks. My email is kwdwilmoth@embarqmail.com
