Thanks Nancy for your information....its been a couple of years since I have stopped searching out the LAMB genealogy as I was going no where but in circles.....Just a note....the given name POLLY was also used interchangably with MARY but I also believe it was also used for MARGARET and variations there of....I think because there were so many MARY's in a particular when you look for cemetery listings for POLLY you might want to look for the more formal given names....Also, I can remember when I was a young child that a man was known by the name he was usually called and not necessarily by the given name at the time of his birth...for great grandfather on my mother's side was given at birth the name of 'WILLARD'...he hated this name and through out the census and on his tombstone his name is listed as 'WILLIAM'..I can even remember the neighbors and some family members calling him 'William' when he was alive......This may not explain much but then when you are checking lists of names, sometimes knowing how things were in the days when 'legalities' were not so important as a man's character was is helpful....sometimes I think we put to much into names today and not back into what a man's character is....just a commentary on my part..happy hunting and thanks again for your entry...Gail Veve
