Outgoing Director of Kanatenah Club - Mrs. Frank R. Walker
[Jessie E. Walker]

Mrs. Frank R. Walker, 777 Ostrom Avenue, outgoing director of Kanatenah Club, is a life member of the Faculty Women's Club of Syracuse University. Mrs. Walker (nee Jessie E. Morey) is the widow of the Dean of Syracuse University College of Law. For several months she has been in charge of the publicity for Kanatenah Club, including the recent anniversary dinner. Mrs. Walker is active in the First Methodist Episcopal Church.

OBITUARY:

Jessie E. Walker; Dean's Widow

Mrs. Jessie E. Walker [nee Morey], widow of Frank R. Walker, former dean of Syracuse University of Law, died at her home, 777 Ostrom Ave., last night after a short illness. She was 90.

Mrs. Walker was a life resident of Syracuse and one of the oldest members of the First Methodist Church. She was a member of the In His Name Circle of the church, Daughters of the Nile, Kanatenah Club, a member and past matron of the Central City Chapter No. 433, OES, Amaranth, White Shrine and the Female Charitable Society of Baldwinsville, N.Y.

Surviving are two sons, John S. Walker, and Richard M. Walker; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph C. Lighthall; a brother, William H.S. Morey of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral chapel of Fairchild and Meech Funeral Home, the Rev. Dr. Albert L. Baner officiating. Burial will be in Baldwinsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

HIRAM5 SAYLES (WILLIAM W.4, WILLIAM G.3, RICHARD2, RICHARD1) was born 11 Apr 1799 in Manlius, New York, and died 09 Jan 1858 in Holmes County, Ohio. Hiram was the son of William W. Sayles and Lydia Pearce.


Hiram Sayles married HANNAH RICKARD in 1825, daughter of JOHN RICKARD and CATHERINE EHLE [Catherine EHLE was a daughter of Peter I/J and Catherine Nellis Ehle and a granddaughter of Johannes Ehle].

HANNAH RICKARD was born 07 May 1806 in New York, and died 13 Apr 1882 in Ohio.

1. Jonas Sayles (b. 1826, Onondaga County, New York; d. 1892, buried Akron, Plymouth Co., Iowa).


2. Almira Sayles (b. abt. 1828; d.?).

4. Mary Charlotte Sayles (b. Dec. 24, 1832, New York; d. November 21, 1917, Paola, Miami County, Kansas; buried Akron, Plymouth Co., Iowa).


5. William Sayles (born May 17, 1837, New York; d. March 6, 1913, Union County, South Dakota.; buried Akron, Plymouth County, Iowa).


6. Harriet Sayles (b. 1838; d.1925, Pittsburg, PA, buried Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, Onondago Co., N.Y.).
