I have a cousin (deceased) who was once involved with Isaac Johnnyjohn, aka, Chief Johnny Big Tree. Isaac or the Chief was a full blooded Native American (Iroquois/Seneca) actor who made many western movies and many articles have been published about him. He also posed for the
"Buffalo or Indian Head nickel that was 1st minted in 1913. From the articles and obits, we know that Isaac had two unknown sons who died in WW I. His mother's given name was Catherine (or with K). His wife's name was Cynthia Johnson. He had a niece named Armena Gordon. His grandfather was the famous Seneca, "Red Jacket". I have census records and a few articles and obits for the Chief and his wife.
The chief and Cynthia died on the Onandaga Nation (Res.), but he was likely born in Erie County south of Buffalo.
Any additional info is appreciated.
