Posted by: Marsha Petrie (ID *****5085) Date: December 08, 2005 at 08:25:00
  of 1914

Hi, I'm looking for any information on Michael Gaughan who was born in Ireland abt 1830. and his family
He is shown in Syracuse, Onondaga Co., Ny on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Census's with his wife Catherine (b) 1833 Ireland, and his children
William (my ggrandfather)(b)NY 1854,
James (b)1858 NY
Henry (b)1861 NY
John (b) 1864 NY
George (b) 1867 NY
Mary ? Ella (b) 1869 NY
Edward (b) 1878

In 1900 Catherine was a Widow and living with Her son Edward and another daughter Catherine (b) 1881

In 1910 Catherine was living with
Catherine (jr) who was married to William Mallinder with children Catherine Mallinder (b) 1907 and Cicelia (b) 1909.
Williamd and Catherine Mallinder had been married 9 Years.

1920 Catherine must have died by 1920 as she is no longer with her daughter and son-in-law.

Edward was 43 and single living in the 10th ward as a carpenter/contractor.

Celia M. Mallinder is living with William and Clara Sullivan as a ward. Clara's maiden name is Boyle.
It looks like Celia's mother Katharine Gaughan died in 1918 she is buried in St. Agnes Cemetery in Syracuse.

1930 the Mallinders are not found but Edward is still single and living in district 64 in Syracuse.

Thank you for any help
Marsha
