Gaffneys in Syracuse

I am looking for any information about my paternal great grandfather and his family. My paternal grandfather, James John Gaffney, was born in Oswego City in 1892. For many years in the early 1900's, the Gaffney family lived at 77 Erie Street, Oswego. My grandfather's parents were Patrick Gaffney and Catherine Shanley Gaffney. Mrs. Catherine Gaffney's obituary described her as "a former well-known resident of Erie street, this city [Oswego], and was a member of St. John's church." Upon her death, her body was taken "to the home of Mrs. Peter Sheridan, 314 West Third street." She was interred at St. Paul's cemetery.

The family history on my father's side has gone a little cold but several of them did relocate to Syracuse and other parts of Onondaga County between 1900-1930, and I would greatly appreciate any insight into any of my ancestors mentioned above.
