I once lived in Oneida County, but have not lived there in 30 years. The gravesite of General (Baron) Von Steuben is located about 25-30 miles north of Utica (Oneida County)just off NYS Route 12 between Remsen and Alder Creek. I think it is in the Town of Steuben. Also by coinsidence, I went to school with a John Hubbard in New Hartford, NY (Oneida Co.). We both attended the same Episcopal Church. The last I heard of him he was a photographer in Hamilton, NY. A distant relative?
