My great great grandfather's sister, Katharina Engel (b. Bahlingen, Baden in 1843, d. Norway, Benton Co., Iowa in 1941) was married to a Silas Kimm on 15 January 1866 at Marion, Linn Co., Iowa. He was born 11 Nov 1835 at Sand, Cassel, Germany to a Jacob Conrad Kimm, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth Wilner. I have not previously heard of the connection to Oneida Co., although the names may match up. I'm told that Jacob Conrad Sr. lived from 18 May 1794 to 29 October 1877 and is buried in the Sisley Grove Cemetery, in Linn Co. Iowa. Please contact if you want to contact those researching this line of descent.
