Erie Canal
Posted by: Curt Dooley Date: June 25, 2001 at 22:22:08

Do any lists exist of the Irish who built the Erie Canal in the 1820's and '30's? Or the railroads? I'm specifically seeking information on MARK DOOLEY, supposedly born in Utica around 1803 and died in Utica around 1838. His family was devout Catholic - wife named Honora (nee Seymour or Ryan). Daughter Ann born 01/12/1829 (Utica), son Jeremiah born 04/25/1834 (Albany) and son John Joseph born 03/14/1838 (Utica). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
