I am reposting this query in light of further information made available thanks to the Oneida County folks working on GenWeb.
Looking to find the gravesite of Elisha Hart. Born in Farmington, Ct. in 1757 and died "during the war of 1812."
Elisha Hart is listed in the 1800 census in Paris, Oneida County, and as a landowner in Whitestown in 1814. The census information roughly matches this Elisha Hart, and I know of no other who would have been in the area.
Suspect the gravesite would be Paris or Whitestown, unless he was in Ontario County with family at his death.
Information would be appreciated.
