It could be a village/hamlet/city name but if it is I'm not familiar with it. I took a quick look thru the atlas and didn't see any village that might be it.

Vital records in Oneida County were not kept until mid-late 1880. There was a brief period from 1847-1850 that records were kept. These would be available thru the town clerk and being that we don't know the town it's complicated.
