Thanks for the reply. My grandfather was Herb Williams born about 1898. He had a brother Ray Gordon that moved to California, and a sister Florence "Flora" that married a John Miles. I believe they lived in Utica, NY or maybe Rome. Their father's name is Manchester Williams and he is burried at Boonville Cemetary. His wife's name is Isabelle Carr. I do not know if Manchester had any brothers or sisters, or the names of his parents. I do have a census that says they came from Canada and became US citizens in 1890. I hope this is enough information to put some pieces of the puzzle together. I am in no hurry...if there is a possible connection...so enjoy the winter. I have heard the stories of New York winters, the Michigan Great Lakes just dishes it out, but seems to miss the brunt of the snow...it's just cold. Take care.
