I have a John Quinn b. 1885; he was my grandfather's (Charles Arthur Quinn, b.1894) brother. Their father was Michael Quinn, b. Jan 1853 in NY State. His parents were both born in Ireland. Their mother was Mary Conley, b. Jan. 1860 in NY State. Her father was born in IRE, her mother in Scotland. I haven't researched this branch very much, but I'm sure death certificates are available from NY State. Hope this helps.
