Family of Joseph Gates II and Jane Brockway: Joseph, William, Nathan, Eliphaz

I descend from their son Nathan, through his son Eliphaz. In family papers Eliphaz is said to have been born in East Haddam, CT in 1807, and when 10, the family moved to Oneida Co. NY.

Nathan was one of four brothers. I believe that all four brothers, Joseph, William, Nathan and Eliphaz, along with their father came to Oneida Co. The 1820 census supports this. An older Joseph, William, and a younger Joseph are found next to one another in Westmoreland. Nathan is found in Whitestown, Eliphaz in Mexico.

Eliphaz is not listed later, but widow Lucy (Lamb) Gates appears in Whitestown later.
William continues to appear 1830 and 1840, but the younger Joseph also disappears. A widow, Dulcena (Stewart) Gates, I believe his wife is seen later.

In 1830, Nathan and his son, Eliphaz are in Frankfort, Herkimer County. Nathan returns in 1840 to Westmoreland and is found next to William. His son Eliphaz is not found, but by 1850 has settled in Walworth Co. WI. Nathan's daughter Mary Anable with husband Amos Hall Thomas and family are also in Walworth Co. in 1870 and 1880, but return to NY.

Also found in Walworth CO. 1870 are Mary and Amos's son Charles E. Thomas and his young wife Belle Harris. They are cousins. Belle is the daughter of Abby Jane Gates and Almon Harris, who reside in Ellicott, Chautauqua, NY.

I have learned that Nathan Gates and Betsey Burnham's daughter Eliza m. Freeman Corbett.

I'm trying to piece together this family. If anyone knows about them, I'd be grateful for any small details. Thank you. Kate
