I have been trying to find any kind of information on my GGreat Grandfather Charles S.Briggs parents. The only information that I gotten so far was what was on his death certificate. And even that wasn't much all they had on it was this for his father was J.Briggs born in New Jersey for his mother was just her surname of Laycock her birth state is Maine.I just thought great how am I going to get information with this.Well as of yesterday I gain hope for I went on site that showed me that there was seven J.Briggs living in the two counties in New York eight years before Charles S.Briggs was born. This was the 1810 census for New York so I am just wondering by chance if any of you out there may have these names in the family tree that can help me.What I haven't given as of yet is this Charles S.Briggs born in the state of New York in 1818.His parents all I have is this J.Briggs born in New Jersey he married a women with the last name of Laycock and she was suppose to have been born in the state of Maine.Any information if these names sound lilke they could be in your family tree. Then please leave me a message.I do thank you again very very much.
