157th (Cleveland) Regiment New York Militia 1814

I have run out of places to look for those men who enlisted in this Regiment. There were three Aldrich young men who joined. Philip, an assisstant surgeon under the Surgeon Solmon King (MD), Charles, and Thomas were recruited at Floyd. They marched to Rome where the Justice of the Peace Hathaway swore them into the service for a 90 day enlistment. Mr. Hathaway was made the Quartermaster of the Regiment.

I can find nothing about Dr. King. Philip Aldrich had the title of Doctor for the rest of his life.

I think that these young men are the sons of Thomas Aldrich of Floyd per the US Census.

Philip married Phebe Carter in March 1813 in Rome by Judge Hathaway. Their first son was born about 1815, but when they left thf Floyd area in about 1817 and headed west to Cuyahoga County, Ohio. When the 1820 census was taken, Philip had acquired two young boys. He took them on to Illinois where they homesteaded.

I am just looking for anything about the Cleveland or Oneida Regiment that is known about them. And also about the Aldriches.
