Thank you thank you thank you!! I have been searching census records for days trying to find an 1860 or 1850 record of Edwin or Levi Stoddard (brothers - my great-grandfather and great-uncle), but you found it!! I am
not certain of Edwin's birth date, but the 1861 date was in his obituary in the Rome Sentinel (I've come to realize that obits are often wrong).

how was it that you found the 1850 census with stoddard so easily? I must need to learn a research trick here.
