Thanks :) Jim MOORE who has an 1874 map of the village of Trenton, New York. Under business notices, it lists the following:
"Hughes, J., Carriage, Sign and Ornamental Painter. Residence, Boon St." The map shows his residence to be on the North side of Boon Street, opposite the intersection of Boon Street and Vanderkemp Avenue.

The original name of the village was Oldenbarneveld, NY. It was subsequently changed to Trenton. However, Trenton, NY looked too much like Trenton, NJ and mail was misrouted. To resolve this, they named the Post Office Barneveld while the village was still Trenton. However, when I grew up in the area, everyone called it Barneveld. In recent years, they officially changed the name to Barneveld.
