Eliza Nichols was my gg grandmother's name.She was born about 1851 according to the 1880 census, where I found her married to Henry Frankquer and living on Court Street in Utica, New York. The 1880 census states that her father was born in Rhode Island. Her mother's name was Polly (presumably, Mary), and her brother's name was Richard. Polly and Richard are found in the 1900 census living at 115 Sunset Avenue in Utica, New York. That census states that Polly was born in 1830 in New York [State], but that her father and Richard's father (Polly's husband) were born in Massachusetts. I suppose it is possible for Polly to have had two husbands, which would account for the difference in the birthplace of the father of Eliza and the father of Richard. I haven't yet determined the given name of Polly's husband.

Jacob Nichols married Abigail Francisco [printed in "Geneva Gazette" on 3/24/1830];
