Enos Marshall, father of Daniel Marshall

I am looking for Enos Marshall, father of Daniel Marshall, who was born near Cleveland, Ohio, about 1821 according to his obituary. Daniel died at Phillips Co., Kansas, in 1887. After the death of his parents, Daniel moved to Utica, Oneida, New York, where he was bound out to the Thomas Lincoln family. Daniel married Susan Puffer in 1848 at Boonville, Oneida, New York. New York state censuses give the following birthplaces for Daniel: 1850 b. New York; 1855 b Ohio; 1860 b. Ireland; 1865 b. Indiana; 1870 b. New York; 1875 b. Ohio; 1880 b. Ohio. I have not been able to find either Daniel or his father in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The census giving Indiana as a birthplace prompted me to check the land patents for Enos Marshall in Indiana. I find Enos Marshall of Cuyahoga, Ohio, in Allen County, Indiana, in 1837 purchasing 40 acres of land. I am fairly certain this is the Enos I have been looking for for 30 years. A Noyes Marshall also purchased land in neighboring Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1847 (of Allen Co.) and 1850. Noyes Marshall may be a brother to Enos. There is an Enos Marshall that shows up in the 1820 St. Clair Twp., Butler Co., Ohio census. Enos probably was born in New York in one of the counties near Oneida. Surnames that seem to follow the Marshalls is Meeker and Alger, both of which are also in Oneida. I would appreciate any assistance in furthering this research.
