All I meant was that where information is readily available, such as State vital records, County Surrogate Courts (for wills), Historical Societies, libraries, etc.,it is much more satisfying to do ones own footwork and cite valid sources. Much of the information in the internet sources...gedcoms, websites...is dubious, at best, and rarely includes sources. Of course, I'm happy to share information and do lookups in what material I have, which I've done many, many times, and which is helpful to both parties. What I was referring to was that material available by making the effort to write letters, go to libraries and so forth.
