Hoping to get some "payback" for all the lookups we have done here in FL.
Last week a friend went to NY and went to Holy Rood to visit family. While there he saw markers with my names and thought they might be related. They weren't, but Holy Rood sounded familiar. When I checked my notes and info, found a cousin buried there. Wrote to the cemetery and within 12 hours got a response. Found cousin's family. The cemetery people are wonderful,their site is wonderful, great maps. The way we all wish every cemetery would be.
I'm hoping some wonderful person can access some obituaries for me. Here in Tampa, the index for the newspaper is on line and all the films are at the main library, so it is just a matter of going downtown on a weekend when there is no traffic and spending a few hours.
I am looking for Walsh, parents Thomas and Sarah (my grandmother's sister). He was buried 08/09/1948 and she was buried 12/26/1945. Their children, Thomas was buried 01/21/1952 and daughter Margaret buried 06/11/1980.
I don't believe either child ever married, know for certain Margaret did not. Trying to expand this branch of my family tree.
And if anyone needs any help here in FL, please let us know. We are in Hillsborough county, but have been know to travel the whole state!
