NYC Marriage- William and Mary E. HAMILTON
Posted by: David Hamilton (ID *****3898) Date: December 10, 2012 at 14:50:06

I am looking to obtain a marriage record for my great grandmother.

She was born as Mary E.(Ellen) COYNE in March of 1872 in Massachusetts. She married a John CROWLEY in 1893 in Boston, Massachusetts. They divorced shortly after having one son named John. Mary then married a William HAMILTON in or about 1898 in New York City, New York. I do not have any information on William and I am hoping by finding their marriage record, it will give me some more clues on who he is.

It has always been a mystery to our family where the name Hamilton came from and I just found a document that mentioned William Hamilton. Although he is not my bloodline, it is a huge deal to try and trace the name 'Hamilton'.

Hope somebody can help out. Thanks in advance.
