Mr. Barris,
Thank you for your remarks. Whatever way you might interpret that article about the former Fishkill Supply Depot is fine with me. My point being, that those soldiers, farmers and whomever that stood sentinel there in Fishkill to do just that- to maintain and sustain the depot and its supplies for the troops should not have their burial ground "malled" over. Although I am mighty proud of my ancestor and his part in keeping the American supplies safe, the intent of the article and my posting it is not about me, it is about those silent soldiers and the land that they protected. It should not be farther compromised. Their burial site should not be further desecrated. We should be memorializing their sacrifice by preserving the land.
