C of the NY 124th Inf. Regiment. There is a notation at the bottom of the card that says "died May 30, 1914 at Patterson, NJ." I think this may be the same Abram Merrit, 25, who enlisted 8 May 1862 in Company C, New York 124th Infantry Regiment in Monroe Co., NY according to the U.S. Civil War Soldier Records and Profiles database at Ancestry.com.
