While researching my CADY roots I have come across some names that I can't seem to make fit. Benjamin CADY married Candace SMITH about 1816. I know nothing of this SMITH family. Also, in a letter, Betsey B. JOHNSON wrote that "Father WEYGINT has gone from the shores of time to eternity" and that she must help with the burial clothes. This letter was dated Jan. 23, 1848 and is from Vernon. I need to find out who Betsey B. Johnson and Father Weygint are.

If anyone has anything on the history of the people of Vernon or Vernon Center, please E-Mail me at: Derby Dad@aol.com. Thanks!
