Help! I am trying to find the names of my great great grandfather's parents. His name was Peter Prevo and was born in June 1841 in St. Lawrence, NY. His parents came from France but don't know the date but do know they came through New York and then went to Quebec, Canada. According to Peter's obituary he was born in the Beauharnois area...is this the same as St. Lawrence? Would appreciate any help. Thanks
