Jacob Montross/Matross was supposedly buried on the south shore of Oneida Lake, Messingers Bay, NY. I wish to find his burial plot which in the Montrose Book said he was 100 years of age. I would also like to find the name of his wife. She was possible a Cromeline. His name could be Montross or Matross. The change was made during the Revolutionary War in order to disassociate himself from other Montrosses who fought for the English.
