I recently got a copy of a will for a relative, Orsemus D. Luther, who died in Georgetown, NY in 1906. It lists Roslynn Barrows as executrix, and leaves 1/2 of his estate to her and 1/2 to Willie E. or Willis E. Barrows, of Georgetown.
It also lists other neices and nephews:
Elmer E.E. Phillips, Nova Scotia, Canada
Franklin D.F. Phillips, Georgetown, NY
Maud N. Williams, Cazenovia NY
Grace L. Hammond, Cazenovia, NY
Julia E. Willcox, Little Falls, NY
Cory L. Warner, South Edmeston, NY
Mary Barrows, Earlville, NY
The will was witnessed by Lucius A. Gustin and George H. Swayze, both of Georgetown, NY.
Orsemus Luther's two sisters (Mary Luther and Esther Luther) were both born in the 1830's and were evidently already dead when Orsemus died. Before this, I had no information on who they each might have married, etc.
If anyone recognizes any of these names, please contact me. I'm hoping to eventually scale my brick wall: Orsemus' mother and uncle are my great-grandfather and great aunt. I am stuck on getting any farther back, and hope to get there via the descendants of the Luther family.
