1870 census Madison Co, NY - Samuel Miles or Wiles?

I found in the 1870 census a Samuel Miles or Wiles, below. Can someone tell me if it should be Miles or Wiles? The census image was hard to make out as to the surname.
Cazenovia (P.O.), Cazenovia Twp, Madison Co, NY, enumerated July 11, 1870:

Samuel Miles/Wiles, 62, NY, farmer, RE$13000 pers$2420
Sohia (Drake) Miles/Wiles, 60, NY
Laura Drake (Sophia's sister), 64, NY

Thank you,
LuAna Drake Craig
