"HARTS" & "JEWELLS"

This is a long shot but it's worth a try. My GGGrandfather, Phillip "Hart" Jewell, b1811 somewhere in NY married to Eunice (b abt 1815, also from NY)and I cannot find who were their parents. It has been suggested that Phillip's mother may have been a HART. The Jewell family were traditionally farmers. Just maybe they came from Madison Co. Phillip and Eunice were in Mich. when their first son was born in 1832, in So. Dakota in the 1860 census & 1870's. Their adult children were listed in the 1890 census in Wshington State, Clark County. Can anyone help solve this puzzle. If so, please respond to: bobniso@mciworld.com. Thanks for at least reading this. Irene in Calif.
