A number of years back my wife met a lady, who has since died, and in the course of conversation the subject of genealogy came up. The lady said she had copies of a handwritten Family tree written by a Louis Friedberg. It has numerous names of people in and about Germany. I have not studied it but is fairly detailed listing graves and cemeteries and other family information The man who wrote it assumed the last name of Lewis because after he became a London,England manager for New York Life he became tired of people asking him to spell his last name. This occurred in 1901. He gives details of some Jewish familes who were sent to German concentration camps I just noticed the Family tree was searched and completed by a Willy Jaenger,(?) of Hamburg who was secretary of the Orthodox Community in Hamburg. Other names mentioned are Rabbi Abraham Hess Rabbi Joseph Meier David Oppenheim Arhon Weiner and many others. If you or someone you know feel this may be helpful in your research contact me. I will send it to you as I really don't want to discard it . Kenneth Oakley St. Cloud, FL Notify Administrator about this message?
