Unfortunately you still have a problem. I looked up some other people living at 52 Leonard in the 1879/80 Brooklyn directory (e.g. Chas Boldemann) and went to the 1880 census. I quickly found 52 Leonard St. but Anton and family are not there. I suppose (if Anton was at 52 Leonard during the 1880 census enumeration) it is possible that he is one of those odd entries you see that are tagged on some other page in the census but good luck finding it. Sorry.
